Imagines...

a

Sarah

Imagine being told you are in labor at 22 weeks and that if your baby is born, there is no chance of survival.

Imagine your sweet daughter coming into this unforgiving world at 23 weeks, weighing only 1 lb. 5.9 oz.

Imagine sadness. Imagine tears everyday. Imagine hopelessness. Imagine the smell of death.

Imagine your heart exploding with love, joy, and thanks as you hold your daughter for the first time.

Imagine leaving your newborn daughter with strangers every night of her life for six months, not knowing whether she would be alive when you returned in the morning.

Imagine PDA,NEC,kidney failure with a fatal kidney fungus, brain hemmorhages, fused eyelids, and uncertain futures.

Imagine your daughter overcoming all with no developmental delays.

Imagine the joy of celebrating your daughter's first birthday with your family and crying because the doctors said she would never make it to this day.

Imagine thanking God everyday for the Gift of Life!!

Love always, Sarah, mother of Lily-born at 23 weeks
