Imagines...

a

Mary

Imagine hoping for all the negative side effects of the third trimester while you are on bedrest between the 22nd and 24th weeks of your pregnancy, because it's better than the alternative.

Imagine being thrilled when you're told that your baby probably has a 75% chance of surviving, because at the first hospital they didn't expect her to live.

Imagine being told by acquaintances and strangers that you are lucky that you didn't have a third trimester, because your baby was born at 24 weeks.

Imagine not being able to take your baby out shopping for the first year of her life for fear of contracting a potentially fatal illness.

Imagine not being able to tell your child that you love her without becoming choked up because you are so aware of the preciousness of her life.

Sincerely,
Mary
