Imagines...

Imagine...calling the NICU at 11 PM for one last check on your baby before getting about 4 hours sleep, getting up and ready and to the NICU by 4 AM, staying until 7 AM so you can rush home to get the other 3 kids up and where they need to be.
Imagine...there is this baby who was born in May, not supposed to be here until August, who has 2 siblings who are obviously shocked when they see her. Another sibling who is only 1 year old who doesn't even know the baby exists.
Imagine...some of your "friends" stop calling you because they don't know what to say. Yet other people who are from a totally different church than your own are organizing meals for your family and most of these people you may not have ever met.
Imagine...a parent of a baby next to you silencing your baby's alarms because he thought it was annoying...and just TRY to sleep after that one!
Imagine...saying good-bye to nurses and doctors who feel closer than some of your family. They have taken the very best of care of your little angel while you were off taking care of the rest of the angels in your family. This was real tough and tearful...a true bittersweet day for us.
