Imagine . . . your former 1 lb. 10 oz. 25 weeker will be 5 this year, and is an amazing happy child, who rides his bike, plays in the sand box, and leads his little sister around by the hand teaching her the ways of the world.

Imagine . . . you were among the first few members of preemie-l, and you're still lurking a few years latter, just in case you might pick up something new for your Web site, but don't contribute much 'cause your child's stay in the NICU is becoming a distant memory.

To parents with babies in the NICU, I especially ask you to imagine that you may find yourself in my position before you know it!
